Greater Tuna Aug. 2 & 6 at Idaho State University

Aug 2, 6: “Greater Tuna,” James E. and Beverly Rogers Black Box Theatre, Stephens Center, 7:30 p.m., matinee 2 p.m. July 28. Greater Tuna is the hilarious comedy about Texas' third smallest town, where the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by only two performers, making this satire on life in rural America even more delightful as they depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna -- men, women, children and animals. Theatre ISU: Greater Tuna July 25 & 28 August 2 & 6 7:30pm in Rogers Black Box The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) condenses 37 of (mostly) the world's greatest scripts into 90 frenetic minutes of comedic characters, sharp pointy objects and naughty bits. All the good stuff, and a few poignant moments here and there in what one of my friends affectionately calls "Hurry Up Shakespeare."
